For the Merchant Alliance, the Emissary Quest used to give you two 'Cargo' Maps with ten Cargo Crates to deliver each. In Season 11, the Merchant Alliance Emissary Quest provides you with two 'Cargo' Maps; however, one map has two Cargo Crates to deliver, and the other has four Cargo Crates to deliver.

A Crew will lose all Emissary Progress when their Ship sinks or they return their flag to the Emissary Table. A sunken Emissary Ship will leave behind a Graded Broken Emissary Flag, which the Reaper's Bones are willing to buy for increasing Gold and Reputation.

If claimed in The Devil's Roar, the Emissary Quest will lead Players to The Ancient Isles or The Wilds. One Gold Hoarder Emissary Quest gives 11200-22000 gold for an average of 16600 gold without any emissary multiplication.

In order for a Crew to be eligible to claim an Emissary Quest from a Trading Company, they first need to progress their way through Emissary Grade ranks up to Grade V.

Crews will no longer find emergent Voyage parchments in barrels across the Sea of Thieves and will now find that barrels only contain resources. Crews will now lose emergent Voyages such as a Message in a Bottle if they dive to a new experience. Emissary Voyages will continue to be retained through diving.

At the end of each month, every Emissary Ledger will be closed and reset, removing any gained Emissary Value. All players who have enough Emissary Value to be placed in the two highest tiers in an Emissary Ledger will receive special Trading Company themed Sails cosmetics after the close of a Ledger.

Losing the Emissary Status

Generally, your Crew will be an Emissary for as long as the session lasts, however there are two ways of losing your Emissary Status: Lowering your company's Emissary Flag or Sinking. A Broken Order of Souls Flag.

As soon as you no longer have a flag, the Trading Company will cancel your Emissary Quest, and you cannot retrieve any treasure from it. To prevent you from accidentally losing your Emissary Quest, you will receive a warning before you lower your Emissary Flag at the Emissary Table.

Player crews can also Scuttle their own Emissary Ship to receive their Flag, but selling your own flag will only reward the Crew with 1 Gold and a note from the Servant's displeasure with you.

The Athena's Fortune Emissary Quest gives all players of the Crew a Treasure Map, a Riddle Map and a Bounty Map that reward them with Athena's Treasure. Once completed, Crews will receive a single X Marks the Spot Map with 2 X's that uncover a Keg of Ancient Black Powder and a Chest of Legends.

As of Season Eleven, you can progress to Reputation Level 100 in every Sea of Thieves Trading Company besides The Hunter's Call. The Hunter's Call maximum Reputation Level is still 50. Upon completing Reputation Level 100 in any Trading Company, your level will reset back to one, and you will earn a Distinction.

As soon as you raise your Emissary Flag, your Emissary Grade will start to track your progress. You can lose progress on your Emissary Grade if you sink or lower your Emissary Flag. Your Emissary Grade will also not carry over between sessions.

Emissary Flag Licenses cost 20,000 Gold to buy, after which they are permanently available for the Player.

The most significant change to Emissary Quests in Season 11 is that you can no longer keep your Emissary Quest if you've lowered your Emissary Flag or lost your Emissary Flag from sinking.
