Meet Ahn Bo-hyun: Actor, model, and Blackpink Jisoo’s boyfriend (2025)

Netizens and K-entertainment fans were abuzz a few weeks ago when the agencies of Blackpink’s Jisoo and actor Ahn Bo-hyun confirmed that the two are dating. While there has been no confirmation yet on how exactly the pair met and when they began dating, the relationship has received a mostly positive response. However, scrutiny has also been placed upon Ahn.

So who exactly is Ahn Bo-hyun, the current male lead in Jisoo’s life?

Where have we seen him?

Ahn Bo-hyun was born May 16, 1988 in Busan. He’s a Taurus (matched with Jisoo, a Capricorn—make of that what you will, astrology girlies). At 35 years old, he currently has a seven-year age gap with Jisoo.

He has been active in the industry since 2007 and is currently signed under FN Entertainment.

Ahn rose to prominence for his work in the 2020 Park Seo-joon-starrer “Itaewon Class,” where he notably played one of the antagonists. He also played a role in the Park Min-young drama “Her Private Life” in 2019, and in the Song Hye-kyo hit series “Descendants of the Sun.”

But ever since “Itaewon Class,” where he was nominated as Best New Actor in the following year’s APAN Star Awards, Ahn has landed male lead roles. In 2021, he was cast as the male lead in “My Name” opposite Han So-hee, then in “Yumi’s Cells” with Kim Go-eun. He then won the Excellence Award for Actor in an OTT Drama for both titles.

Ahn also won a number of awards in 2020. He won Best New Actor in the MBC Drama Awards for his work in “Kairos” and Rising Star Actor in the Korea First Brand Awards for “Itaewon Class.”

You might’ve also seen Ahn in more recent dramas like “Military Prosecutor Doberman” and “See You in My 19th Life.”

Bo-hyun beyond the screen

Aside from being a recognized actor and model, there are many other interesting tidbits we’ve found out about Ahn. Before pursuing modeling and acting, he was a boxer in high school—and even competed and won a gold medal for the sport at a national competition.

Perhaps we can attribute this sportiness for his good physique, and even for his capability to do his own stunts. In interviews, it was said that Ahn did his own stunts for the drama “My Name.”

When he’s not busy with shoots, Ahn enjoys camping. In the summer, he says he would go on camping trips, or fishing or surfing.

But when it comes to love, Ahn has this to say, according to Soompi: “I’m the type who wants to do everything I can for that person and treat them well, the type who goes all in.”

Looks like that’s exactly what he’s doing for Jisoo, as reports have also said that it seems Ahn is often seen visiting Jisoo’s apartment for dates, bringing food whenever they would spend time together.

It has also been reported that he has been adjusting his schedule to fit hers. Definitely going all in, Ahn Bo-hyun.
